ADAM LAYNE KLEITZ

Adam Layne Kleitz, age 24 of Kansas City, Missouri, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 in a one car automobile accident in Prairie Village, Kansas.

Adam was born September 20, 1986 in Olathe Kansas. He was the first of two children of Darren Layne and Carol Elaine (Patterson) Kleitz.

Adam attended grade school at Central Heights and Holy Trinity Catholic School in Paola, Kansas, Jr. High in Osawatomie, Kansas and high school in Baldwin, Kansas where he graduated in 2004. He lived in Baldwin until 2006. He moved to Osawatomie, then to Kansas City, Missouri in 2007.

Adam loved to sing and loved music. He was in many plays and musicals in high school, some of which he had the leading role. He was an exceptional care giver. He worked at KU Med Center as well as St. Lukes Hospital. Helping others in any capacity gave him joy.

He was a member of St. Phillip Neri Church.

He is survived by his mother Carol Jespersen of Paola; his father Darren and Rene Kleitz of Rantoul; one brother Zac Kleitz one step brother Alec Walters both of Rantoul; two sisters Kaylee Hurt of Paola and Zealia Kleitz of Rantoul; his partner Kent Hatch of Kansas City, Missouri; their dogs Hudson and the new puppy Henry; and numerous relatives and friends.

Paternal grandparents Beverly Kleitz of Fredonia, Ks; Larrie and JoAnn Kleitz of Rantoul, Ks; Step grandmother Sharon Walters of Osawatomie, Ks.

Maternal grandparents Bill and Rose Patterson of Rantoul.

Funeral will be at 10 am Friday, May 13, 2011 at St Philip Neri Catholic Church in Osawatomie, Kansas, with burial in the Osawatomie Cemetery, Osawatomie, Kansas.

Visitation from 6-8 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, Kansas.

Rosary Prayers will be at 6 pm Thursday, May 12, 2011.

Memorials are to the Adam Kleitz memorial fund.
