CHARLES ELVIN “CHUCK” LIGHT

Charles Elvin “Chuck” Light, age 42, of Osawatomie, Kansas, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011in a train-pedestrian accident in Osawatomie.

Chuck was born February 26, 1969 in Paola, Kansas. He is the son of Claude Emmert and Kathleen Kay (Spears) Light. He attended school in both Parker, Kansas and later in Hawaii.

He married Karri May (Pearce) Sehlesenger, May 4, 2002 in Paola, Kansas. They became the parents a set of twins. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2007.

He is survived by two children, Charles Ryan Light and Chloe Ryanna Light of Paola; his parents, Claude Emmert and Kathleen Kay (Spears) Light; one brother, Michael “Mick” Light of Paola; two sisters, Shannon (Light) Barbour of Paola and Shalaine (Light) Blazic of Gardner; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Presbyterian Church in Osawatomie. Visitation will be held from 8-10 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Cadmus (Elmgrove) Cemetery in Cadmus, Kansas. Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home (913)755-2114.
