BEVERLY JEAN HART
Beverly Jean Hart, age 69 of Paola, Kansas, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.
Beverly was born January 10, 1942 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was the older of two children born to Woodrow Grady and Mattie Belle (Benett) Robinson. She graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1959 and received her Associates Degree from the Johnson County Community College, Overland Park, KS.
She was united in marriage to Fletcher Thomas Hart on September 2, 1960 in Woodville, Mississippi. They became the parents of two sons and two daughters. They made their home in Baton Rouge, LA., Shreveport, LA., St. Louis, MO., Schenectady, NY., German Town, MD. and settling in Hillsdale, KS. in 1979.
She was a member of the Pearl Street Baptist Church of Paola, KS. She was part of the Harvester Group, distributing food and enjoyed helping friends and family. Her passion was cooking and she was a superb cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Brett Hart.
She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Thomas Hart of rural Paola, KS.; one son, Fletcher Woodrow (Buddy) Hart of Paola, KS.; Staci Jean Hart of Topeka, KS.; Sheri Lynn (Hart) Shideler of Paola, KS.; Two sisters, Lynda McNemar and Pam Lucas both of Baton Rouge, LA; six Grandchildren; five Great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers are the six grand children: Brandi Light, Josh Patterson, Jeremiah Ross, Sheril Tabor, Ricky Shideler Jr. and Katie Hart.
Service 10 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Church of the Nazarene at 513 15th street, Osawatomie, Ks. with burial at the Hillsdale Cemetery, Hillsdale, KS.
Visitation will be 6-9 pm Friday, July 8th at the Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials are to the Brett’s fund at Tri-Ko.
