Sharon Kay Schuler

Sharon Kay Schuler, age 68 of Osawatomie, Kansas died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center.


Sharon was born April 28, 1943 at Olathe, Kansas. She was the first of four children born to William Wesley and Wilba Muriel (Endecott) Chadwick. She attended Olathe Schools, later received a degree in Interior Design.

Sharon was united in marriage to Donald Ray Banks at Olathe, Ks in June of 1960. They made their home in Olathe, Ks and became the parents of two children, Wes and Martin. The marriage ended in divorce in 1965.


Sharon was united in marriage to Frank F. DeRemus at Kansas City, Mo. on November 19, 1965. They made their home in Olathe, Ks. and became the parents of one son, Frank Scott and he adopted the children from her first marriage. The marriage ended in divorce 1979.

Sharon was united in marriage to James Lee Schuler at Olathe, Ks. on December 24, 1980. They made their home in Osawatomie, Ks and became the parents of one daughter, Wendy. During this time she went to school and received her cosmetologist license and opened her salon in 1989 at her home where she worked until she retired in November of 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Lee Schuler in 2010; one Grandson, Dakota DeRemus in 2008.

She was survived by three sons, Wesley DeRemus of Osawatomie, Ks., Martin Joe DeRemus of Dallas, Tx., Frank Scott DeRemus of Olathe, Ks.; one daughter, Wendy LeAnn (Schuler) McCarley of Osawatomie, Ks.; brother, Merle Chadwick of Olathe, Ks.; two sisters, Frances Larson of Overland Park, Ks. and Gloria Jean Secrest of Osawatomie, Ks.; 13 Grandchildren and 8 great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 7pm followed by visitation till 9pm at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home chapel.
