Richard Harrison "Rick" Miller

Richard Harrison “Rick” Miller, age 51, of Louisburg, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 7 at his home.


Rick was born July 25, 1960 in Garberville, California. He was the seventh of nine children of Albert Ray and Dorothy Marie (Bradley) Miller.

Rick attended Greeley Elementary and Garnett High School.

Rick was married September 19, 1987 in Millard, Nebraska, to Darla (Kendrick) Winn. They made their home in Yutan, Nebraska and became the parents of two daughters. The marriage ended in divorce in 2006.

Rick worked for Deep Rock Water Company in Omaha, Nebraska, for twenty-three years, from 1989 thru 2011 - laid off to sale to Culligan, a larger water company. He moved to Louisburg in October of 2011.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Ray Miller; two brothers, Larry Cochran and David Steven Miller.

He is survived by ; two daughters, Kayla Miller and Kelsey Miller both of Yutan, Nebraska; two step-sons, Randy Winn and Kyle Winn both of Yutan, Nebraska; mother, Dorothy Marie (Bradley) Miller; one brother, Mark Miller of Fontana, Ks; five sisters, Samantha Greene of Louisburg, Ks., Linda Snow of Pleasant Hill, Mo., Raeann Ramsey of Paola, Ks., Gwen Miller of Kansas City, Ks. and Gale Kats of McKinney, Texas; two Grandchildren, Wyatt Winn and Libby Winn of Yutan, Nebraska; many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, March 11, 2012, followed by visitation at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie.
