Margaret Mae “Peggy” Wright, age 91, of Osawatomie, Kansas, Died Wednesday, June 06, 2012 at The Moran Manor in Moran, Kansas.

Peggy was born on May 3, 1921 in Richmond, Ks. She was the 6th of 7 children born to Chris Kruger and Sally (Shrader) Kruger.

She attended school in Richmond, Kansas.

She was married October 2, 1937 to Noel Alford Wright. They made their home in The Green Valley Community. They later moved to St. Louis, Missouri. In 1960 they moved back and made their home in Osawatomie. They were the parents of three children. Mr. Wright died in an Automobile accident on August 27th, 1960.

Peggy started working at the Osawatomie State Hospital on April, 26th, 1963 in the kitchen as an institutional worker. She retired as a Cook II in The Dietary Department on June, 1, 1983, after 20 years.

Peggy was preceded in death by parents, her husband, her son; David Wright, who died in 1990 and her Grandson; Dennis Wright, who died in 1984.

Peggy is survived by her Son; Johnny Lee Wright, and Her Daughter; Sylvia Sue Gander.

She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; Nola Williamson of Paola, David Wright II of Galena, Tammy Kettler of Paola, Andy Wright of Paola, Jessica Voorhies of Shawnee, Jeremy Wright of Osawatomie, Jonathan Wright of Paola, Davina Garrison of Paola, and Jeffrey Fields of Osawatomie.

Her 16 Great-Grandchildren: Alisha, Ryan, Lindsey, Michelle, David III, Heather, Danielle, MaKayla, Bryce, Blake, Jake, Ryan, Allison, Kelly, Jill, and Nathan.

Her 11Great-Great-Grandchildren; Holden, Gabe, McKenna, Jae, , Malorie, Blaine, JD, Dalanie, Mathias, Elizabeth and Christopher, her sister, Betty Corwine, and other relatives and friends.


Graveside Services will be held 10:30am, Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Lane Cemetery in Lane, KS.
