John Terrance, “J.T.”, “Terry” Huber, age 62 of Paola Kansas, died unexpectedly Sunday August 19, 2012 at his home.
J.T. was born November 25, 1949 in Emporia, Ks. He was the second of three sons born to Robert and Margaret Ann (Moore) Huber. His father was in the military so Terry attended several different schools. He graduated from Osage City High School, Osage City, Ks. in the class of 1968.
During the Vietnam era, he joined the U.S. Navy from May 28, 1969 until August 1, 1972. He served on the USS Hancock attaining the rank of OS3.
J.T. began working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad on August 24, 1973 as a brakeman. He retired after 36 years as a railroad Conductor from the Union Pacific.
J.T. was married to Janice Sue “Janie” Troutman in Miami, Oklahoma (LaVerne Wedding Chapel) on October 10, 1986. They made their home in Paola.
J.T. was a member of the United Transportation Union, Elks Lodge #921 of Osawatomie, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Paola, Eagles Lodge of Paola and American Legion.
J.T. was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Janie of the home; sons: Jason Andrews and his wife Kim of Mt. Vernon, MO; Jay Andrews and his significant other Sheri of Osawatomie and Scruffy Huber of the home. Two brothers: Steve Huber and his wife Janet of Paola, and Doug Huber of Seattle, Washington. Seven grandchildren and one on the way.
