Genevieve Mauricette “Gennie” Folsom age 54, of Osawatomie, KS died Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home.

Genevieve was the fifth of six children born October 4, 1958 in Kansas City, KS to Floyd Richard “Ted” Folsom and Genevieve Germaine Louise (Lepillier) Folsom.

The family lived in Kansas City, KS when she was born then moving to Parker, KS in 1964. In 1973 they moved to Osawatomie. She attended school in Osawatomie until they moved in 1974 to LaCygne, KS. They moved back to Osawatomie in the late 70’s.

Gennie was single and lived with her parents until the death of her father in 1994. She then went to work in the kitchen at the Osawatomie Middle School. She enjoyed her job very much and she remained employed there until her illness prevented her from working.

Gennie liked to watch TV, loved children and enjoyed “babysitting” for members of her family.


She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, and five brothers: William “Bill” Folsom of Paola, KS, Theodore “Ted” R. Folsom , Charles R. Folsom , Daniel” Dan” L. Folsom all of Osawatomie, and John ”Johnny” J. Folsom of Garnett, KS and many nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.
