Barbara Gale Stewart age 54, of Osawatomie, KS died Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home in Osawatomie.

Barbara was born August 21, 1958 in Independence, Mo. The oldest of three children to Harold Ray and Violet May (Sallee) Shore.

Barbara worked as a cook in resturants for many years. She later worked for Walmart in Paola, KS as a cashier from 2004 until her illness forced her to stop in 2010.

Survivors include her mother Violet May Sands of the home. Her daughter Tanya Eggleston of Iola,KS her son Aaron Stewart of Parkersburg, West Virginia and her two brothers, Terry Lee Shore of Osawatomie, KS and Kelly Ray Shore of Olathe, KS. Three step brothers: Mike Sands and Scott Sands both of Grandview, Mo. and Shawn Sands of Kansas. One step sister: Tammy Hanson of Iola, KS and eight grandchildren.
