June Raper of Garnett, Kansas formerly of Osawatomie and Parker, Kansas passed away February 4th, 2013 at Richmond Healthcare Center at the age of 95.
She was the daughter of Pearl”Dott” (Stites) Bearly and Irvin C. Bearly of Parker, Kansas.
She attended the France School in rural Parker and graduated from Parker High School in the class of 1939.
June married Nelson Harrison Raper April 26, 1941 in Wellsville, Kansas. They lived on a farm between Parker and Goodrich and became the parents of five children.
June was a homemaker and a personal caregiver. She loved working in her flower gardens and loved to bake. She will be fondly remembered for her pies.
She was a member of the United Brethren Church in Garnett, Kansas and a member of the Eastern Star Parker Chapter # 307, Parker, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Nelson, an infant son Ernest Lee, son George Walter and a sister Dorothy Bauer and an infant brother John William.
She is survived by her son Charles Raper of LaCygne, Kansas, her two daughters: Martha Kern of Ulysses, Kansas and Mary Laird of Richmond, Kansas. One sister Ethel Phillippe, Galion, Ohio and one brother Irvin C. Bearly Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas. Seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her cat “Miss Kitty” and her special dog “Spencer” and extended family at Richmond Healthcare.
