Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Davis age 52, of Osawatomie, KS died unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2013 at her home.

Cindy was born July 16, 1960 in Kansas City, MO. She was the eldest of five children born to Joe and Mary Kay (Kane) Herman.

Cindy graduated from Prairie View High School in the class of 1978. She later attended Kansas City Community College in Kansas City, Kansas were she took classes for two years in Mortuary Arts.

Cindy married Fred Davis in Osawatomie, KS in July of 1986. They made their home in Osawatomie and became the parents of three children. The marriage ended in divorce in 1991.

In 1994 she married John Stahl in Parker, KS and they made their home in Parker. This marriage ended in divorce in 1997. Cindy then moved back to Osawatomie.

Cindy was a full time mother; however she worked at many jobs outside the home. Some include the Osawatomie State Hospital, Rands gas station in Paola, Best Western Motel in Paola and The Country Vintage Inn in Osawatomie.

Cindy liked horseback riding, she even raised quarter horses. She enjoyed collecting angels and was an avid Raiders fan. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.


Cindy was a member of St. Philip Neri Church in Osawatomie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and one sister Jennifer Herman.

She is survived by her three children: Phil Davis of Hobart, Oklahoma, Clint Davis of Osawatomie, KS and Bridgette Davis of Osawatomie, KS. Her father Joe Herman of Gardner, KS, three sisters: Kathy Barnard of North Carolina, Mary Elizabeth Wilson of Osawatomie, KS and Diane Nuzum of Wichita, KS and five grandchildren.
