Rosemary Frances Boedicker age 83, of Paola, Kansas died Saturday May 11, 2013 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.
Rosemary was born January 9, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the eldest of six children born to Roy Pete and Clara Ida (Doerhoff) Boedicker.
Rosemary attended school in St. Anthony, Missouri, Fort Leonard Wood, and one year at Nevada Girls School. She then moved to St. Louis and worked as a nanny. She later went to work in nursing homes as a nurse aide and a med.tech.
Rosemary moved to Paola in the early 1990’s and worked for Lake Mary for several years until she retired in 1995.
Rosemary never married, however she had a very special social friend of over twenty-five years in Al Rothemyer. His death at age 49 was a tremendous loss for Rosemary. He was a large part of her life and was greatly missed.
She was a member of the St. Philip Neri Church of Osawatomie, a member of the Lions Club of St. Louis, MO and a Girl Scout Leader in Gardner, Kansas where she lived for about eight years. She was also very proud to have been President of the Resident Council at Life Care Center of Osawatomie for almost three years.
Rosemary enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and liked to watch old TV shows like Bonanza on television.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Herman (Rocky) Boedicker and one sister Dorothy Boedicker.
She is survived by one brother Henry (Hank) Boedicker of Osawatomie, KS, two sisters: Irene Meyer of Jacksonville, Florida and Clara Heimericks of Sacramento, CA and one half brother Jim Boedicker of St. Louis, MO and many nieces, nephews and friends.
