Suzanne Marie “Susie” Truhe age 44, of Osawatomie, Kansas died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.

Susie was born August 14, 1968 in Olathe, Kansas. The eldest of two children born to David Paul and Lois Arlene (Beal) Truhe.

In March of 1972 at the age of four Susie began attendance at the LakeMary Center and was a graduate from LakeMary School in May of 1989 at the age of twenty-one. Susie had been living with her mother; however she entered the residential program with Tri Ko Inc. in Osawatomie after finishing school at LakeMary in 1989.

Susie was employed by Tri Ko for 24 years and was a dedicated employee. Susie was a hard worker. Dynamite does come in small packages, only standing about 39 inches she was full of spirit and was not afraid to let you know just how she felt, but was also sweet and everyone loved her at Tri Ko. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Susie was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Osawatomie. She loved going to church it was one of her favorite activities. She liked to cook and bake, so when the church had dinners or other functions she was one of the first to bring a cake or some other baked goods.


She loved Winnie the Pooh and was a collector of Winnie the Pooh Bears and had many on display in her room at home. She had one favorite she referred to as “her boy”, his name was Wimpy. Susie loved him.

Susie was preceded in death by her father September 11, 1993.

She is survived by her mother Lois Reeves of Lawrence, Kansas and one brother John Truhe.

Susie was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Tri Ko Center 301 First St. Osawatomie.
