Dorothy Pauline Davidson age 91, of Paola, Kansas died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at her daughters home in rural Paola.

Dorothy was born March 22, 1922 the oldest of four children to Carl Albert and Ruth Lucille (Hopkins) Bell in Scenic, South Dakota.

She attended the local schools in the county and graduated from Hill City High School in South Dakota.

Dorothy married William Kaufman Jr. and they became the parents of nine children. They made their home in the Miami County Area. The marriage ended in divorce.

During the 1960's Dorothy worked as a seamstress for Smith & Company sewing factory in Paola.

On December 22, 1977 she married Joe Davidson in Houston, Missouri. Joe died in November 1995.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Randall Clark Kaufman, two daughters Patrica Sue Welch and Katheryn Joyce Wallace, two sisters and one half brother.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons: Richard (Sonny) Kaufman of Paola, KS, Jeffery Kaufman of Bakersfield, MO, four daughters: Pamela Jean Wobker of rural Paola, KS, Barbara Young of Kirkland, WA, Ginger Kay Brown and Becky Marilyn Fare both of West Plains, MO., two sisters.

Dorothy has been cremated and burial will be 10:30 am , August 29, 2013 in Bean Cemetery in Gamaliel, Arkansas.
