Arbie Dale Warren age 83, of Osawatomie, Kansas formerly of Kansas City, Kansas and Basehor, Kansas died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Osawatomie.

Arbie was born on September 10, 1930 in Bolivar, Missouri the seventh of nine children to Oscar Hoy and Florence Goldea (Storment) Warren. Arbie was raised in the Bolivar area and attended the Bolivar Schools. After high school in 1948 Arbie enter into Barber College.


He married his sweetheart Evelyn Delores Carlson in Bolivar, Missouri on April 8, 1950. The couple moved to Kansas City, Missouri and became the parents of two boys. Arbie and Evelyn were married for over sixty-three years.

Arbie owned and operated his own barber shop at 18th & Minnesota in Kansas City, Kansas for more than twenty-seven years. During this time he and his wife raised their family and were very active with their children. They liked to camp and fish and spend time on the water, boating and water skiing. Arbie taught his boys to water ski at the young age of six. They took trips to all around the country camping. After their family was grown and gone, Arbie took up motorcycle riding, he and his wife traveled by motorcycle all across the United States. From the East Coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between. They traveled on his motorcycle together for more than thirty years.

After Arbie retired from barbering he went to work for the Kansas City School District in the maintenance department. Until the couple moved to Basehor, Kansas in 2000 when he started driving a school bus for the Basehor School District for about eight years.
They moved to Vintage Park in Osawatomie, Kansas where they have called home since 2011.

Arbie was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Basehor, Kansas and then after moving to Osawatomie joined the Kingdom Hall in Paola, Kansas.

Arbie became ill on Labor Day this year and went to stay at the Life Care Center.

Arbie was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Nelson, Eldon and Norris Warren and two sisters: Jewel Otten and VanBuren Warren.

He is survived by his wife of the home, two sons: Larry Warren of Louisburg, KS, Marion LaDean Warren of Hopewell Junction, New York, his brother Arnol Warren of Perry, KS, two sisters: Quolada Schaub of Bonham, TX and Delma Hembree of Piper, KS, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
