Betty Virginia Daggett age 75, of Osawatomie, KS died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Life Care Center of Osawatomie.

Betty was born January 18, 1938 the youngest child of three to Robert and Elizabeth “Boots” (Morgan) Allen in Sharon, Pennsylvania.

Betty grew up in Hermitage, Farrell, and West Middlesex area, graduating from West Middlesex High School in the class of 1955.

Betty married Gerry Tucci and they had one son who died at birth. The marriage ended in divorce.

Betty married Donald Lee Daggett in Las Vegas, Nevada. They became the parents of one son Joseph. The marriage ended in divorce. However in 1987 the couple reunited and around 1990 they moved to Osawatomie. They remained together until Donald’s death in 2012.

Betty was a fanatic about Bingo she loved playing and socializing with all her “Bingo friends”.
She enjoyed the holidays and was quite a cookie and candy maker. After she baked all the cookies she started making her pumpkin breads, candies, rum balls and fudge. She would package these wonderful confections and give them away as gifts to everyone, family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances. She did not send out holiday cards but home made love.

Betty was a homemaker, a care giver, a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary both of Wheatland, PA.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one infant son and two brothers: George Allen and Robert “Bob” Allen.

She is survived by one son Joseph “Joe” and wife Kelly Daggett of Osawatomie, and five grandchildren: Angela Argenson, Derrick Thoele, Alexandra Long, Justin and Christopher Daggett. Six step daughters and one step son.
