Johnna Lynn Needham, age 52, of Osawatomie, Kansas died November 11, 2013 at Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Johnna was born August 11, 1961 in Fort Scott, Kansas to her proud parents Edith and John Miller.

Johnna attended school in Paola, Kansas. She was a very determined and competitive gymnast for several years throughout school and was an active cheerleader.

Johnna worked at Sonic Drive In located in Paola and then Tri-Ko in Osawatomie.

She was first married to William Allen Strausbaugh in 1979 which ended in divorce and then later to her current husband Lewis Ray Needham on November 20, 1998.

Johnna loved spending time with her children but even more so her grandchildren. She was always about finding ways to make the holidays big and memorable.

Johnna was also a very avid dog lover. In the last few years of her life she spent a lot of time traveling with her husband Lewis and her three dogs.


Close to the end of her battle with liver disease Johnna made every effort to surround herself with family and loved ones to assure them of her love for them. This summer Johnna made the decision to be baptized and accept the lord into her life.

Johnna is survived by her husband Lewis Ray Needham of the home, two daughters: Tara Lynn Strausbaugh and her fiancé Brandon Badders of Osawatomie, Kansas, Amber Lace Alexander of Independence, Missouri and one son Bobby Joe Alexander III of Independence, Missouri, one sister Carol and husband Brad Tiedemann of Paola, Kansas: seven grandchildren, two nephews, one great nephew, two great nieces, several aunts, uncles and many other family and friends.
