Robert Dean “Bob” McCullough age 60, of Parker, Kansas died Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Miami County Medical Center in Paola, Kansas.
Bob was born November 3, 1953 in Girard, Kansas the first child of six children born to Robert McCullough and Aileen Marie (Zimmerman) McCullough.
He grew up in the Arma, Kansas area and attended school there graduating from the Arma High School in the class of 1971.
Bob married Sherri Schmidt in Arma, Kansas in 1980 they became the parents of one son Zebulah “Zeb” McCullough.
Bob worked as an electrician by trade for most of his adult life, and his job took him to several different states, Colorado, Texas and South Dakota to name a few.
In 1991 Bob settled in the Parker area and went to work for Page Electric, where he has now worked for over twenty years.
Parker soon became his home town with many friends and also where he met his second wife Lori Page.
Bob was a man who loved the outdoors, 4 wheeling, fishing and working in the garden. He was an amateur photographer and enjoyed taking pictures. He liked astronomy and collecting Geodes and crystals. He was one who could truly appreciate nature in all its beauty, he could just stand and admire the simple beauty of a babbling brook to the stars in the sky.
Bob was one who never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone and before you knew it they would be exchanging contact information, planning on getting together again. He was just one of those kind of guys that everyone liked and was friends with all of them, including his two dogs “Pete” and “Sugar” a Jack Russell Terrier and a yellow Labrador.
He was “Grandpa Bob” to everyone’s children and they will all tell you he was the “best Grandpa ever.” He will truly be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Irma McCullough.
Bob is survived by his son Zebulah Jordan “Zeb” McCullough, his wife Christin, and two grandchildren: Bryar and Scarlett and in seven weeks baby Vivienne will make her debut as the newest McCullough all of Mapleton, Kansas. Three step daughters: Ashley, Amber, and Autumn. Two brothers: Jess McCullough of Rose Hill, Kansas, and Tony McCullough of Peculiar, Missouri, two sisters: Janice Stephenson of Atchinson, Kansas and Patricia McWilliam of Paris, Texas.
