Randy Harold Goodnight age 60, of Winfield, Kansas died Monday, May 11, 2015 at the SouthWind Rescare in Winfield.

Randy was born June 14, 1954, in Soda Springs, Idaho the second child of four born to Orval Harold and Alpha Euretha (Goodall) Goodnight.

Randy was developmentally challenged from birth. He lived at home with his family until the age of eleven, he then went to live in a residential home for the developmentally challenged.

Randy was never able to return home to live, but he did live in several different communities, Osawatomie, KS, Parsons, Kansas for eighteen years , then to Pittsburg, Kansas and the last twenty-four years he lived in Winfield, Kansas at the SouthWind Rescare.

He enjoyed watching westerns on television and loved Scooby Doo cartoons. He was always visiting with the staff and loved when his family came to visit. He was fond of the outings and short trips the residents went on and going to the movies and bowling were some of his favorites.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, two nephews and one niece.

He is survived by his two sisters: Vivian Minor of Osawatomie, KS and Cindy (Lonnie) England of Paola, KS and one brother Ricky Goodnight of LaCygne, KS.

Private family services followed by cremation with committal of ashes at a later date in Goodrich Cemetery, Goodrich, Kansas.
