Alma Fern Schilling age 72, of Paola, Kansas died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas.
Alma was born October 24, 1942 in Paola, Kansas. The second of ten children born to Charles C. and Anna (Foster) Edwards. She grew up in Miami County and attended several schools in the area.
On July 9, 1961 in Paola, Kansas Alma and Harold G. Schilling were united in marriage. They made their home in Paola and became the parents of three children: Loretta, Dewayne and Lisa.
Alma worked for several Paola businesses over the years while still being a devoted homemaker, loving wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Joann Warner, two brothers: Charles K. Edwards and an infant brother who died at birth.
Alma is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Harold of the home, son DeWayne (Tina Gonzales) Schilling of Paola, KS, two daughters: Loretta Schilling of Ottawa, KS and Lisa (Michael) Bradford of Olathe, KS. Two granddaughters: Amber Fraka of Ottawa, KS and Ashley (Eric) Moore of Overland Park, KS. Two brothers: Bill Edwards of Osawatomie, KS and Eddy Edwards of Baxter Springs, KS. four sisters: Rosetta Stocksen of Garnett, KS, Linda Grosskreutz of Osawatomie, KS, Sharon Sullivan of Olathe, KS and Connie Ebeck of Paola, KS, along with many nieces, nephews and other family members.
