Mildred was an avid bird watcher, her favorite was the humming birds. She would garden in the spring and summer. She enjoyed her family and loved cooking and baking for them. Mildred played Rummikub and did jigsaw puzzles with her children and grandchildren. She would crochet and sew in her idle time.
Mildred joined and was baptized in the Antioch Baptist Church in 1959. After moving to Parker she became a member of the Beagle United Methodist Church.
