Robert Joseph “Bob” Bisig age 84 of Lane, Kansas died March 1, 2016 at Olathe Hospice House.
Bob was born November 14, 1931 at Savannah, Missouri to Joe and Ruth (Powelson) Bisig. The family later moved to a farm near Amity, Missouri. Bob attended Ogle Grove School and Maysville High School, graduating in 1949. He farmed with his Dad till 1950 when he moved to Overland Park, Kansas. He worked at American Can Company in North Kansas City. He met Lois Swaim at the First Baptist Church in Overland Park. They were married December 23, 1950 at the First Baptist Church in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Bob also worked for Mission Township, Overland Park, Kansas City Power & Light Company and Miami County Road Department. The Family moved to a small farm near Lane in 1963 where he raised cattle and sheep.
He was a very hard worker and kept a very neat farm. He was a faithful Christian and often taught Sunday school and home bible studies.
Bob is preceded in death by his Parents
Survived by his wife Lois of the home, Sons Steve (Kathy) of Greeley, CO, Mark (Becky) of St. Louis, MO, Joe Bisig of Raytown, MO and Daughter Sarah (Keith) Davis of Osawatomie, KS. One Brother Larry Bisig of Carthage, MO. Ten Grandchildren, one great grandchild and the second on the way.
