Robert Stephen “Bob” Law age 76 of Osawatomie, Kansas died Friday April 8, 2016 in the home of his caregiver.
Bob was born on March 15, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the fifth of six children born to Lawrence Edward and Della Ann (McCutcheon) Law. He grew up and attended school in Osawatomie. He graduated with the Osawatomie High School class of 1958.
After high school, he moved to Kansas City and became a drywall taper. In his down time he owned and ran several bars in the Kansas City area. Bob needed a change so he moved to Alaska. There he continued his drywall jobs and was also a commercial fisherman.
In the early 90’s Bob moved back to Kansas to be closer to family. He continued doing what he knew best and that was working with drywall. He purchased a home in Osawatomie, Kansas where he grew up and lived there ever since. Bob loved to fish, even when his health started failing he didn’t let that stop him from going to the river to fish.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gerald Law, one sister Rosetta Mae Ulrey, his young son Jared and his furry companion Bow-Wow.
He is survived by his two brothers Herb (Gerry Sue) Law of Paola, KS and Lawrence Gene (Denise) Law of Gas, KS, one sister Jody (Tom) Howell of Olathe, KS, his three daughters Debbie Gilstrap, Sherry Lintner, and Andrea Law. Along with his caregiver Steve Chadwick and his surviving furry companion Sally.
