Loretta Louisa Carlton.... Age 81

Loretta Louisa Carlton, age 82, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Life Care Center in Osawatomie, Kansas.

Loretta was born August 20, 1934 in Dalhart, Texas to Marguerite and Paul Fenoughty. She graduated from the Ursuline Academy in 1953. She then married Remmel Cecil “Kenny” Carlton in 1965 when she was 32 years old. She and Kenny lived in Kansas City, Missouri until they moved to Osawatomie, KS in 1968. They had two daughters, Anne Margaret and Mary Elizabeth.

She belonged to St. Philip's Catholic Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Zig Zag Club. She worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital for a number of years.

Loretta loved being with her grandchildren and taking them out for ice cream on hot summer days as well as cross-stitching and baking goodies around the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Brothers Francis and Joe Fenoughty, and daughter Ann.

She is survived by her: daughter Mary Saunders and husband Allen; grandchildren Peter Fisher, Madeline Holtz and husband Zach, Naomi Fisher, and Nicole Fisher; sister-in-law Linda Fenoughty of Osawatomie, Kansas; and her two sisters, Rosemary Wilson of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Eileen Keitel and husband Herschel of Lenexa, Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
