Bonnie worked in the Kansas City area all her life. Traveling helping with the antique shows from a young age and later cleaning houses for many people in the Olathe area. Bonnie was a caregiver to a friend Shila for many years and her husband until they both passed away. Bonnie later went to work at Walmart as a people greeter, a job she loved, and made many friends there. Bonnie was a friendly person, who liked to laugh a lot. Bonnie grew up in the country, went to Stanley High School, liked to dance, ride horses, or just play in the creek. She has done a lot of traveling, 10 countries in Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and many of the states in the US, but her favorite was the country near Montreal, MO. where her Grandpa and Grandma Snellings lived. She visited their house as often as she could even after they were gone. She visited lots of old cemeteries there placing flowers on family she had never met. Sometimes even putting flowers on the graves of someone she didn't even know. Family was important to her. She and her husband, Mike, helped in the raising of some of their grandchildren.
Bonnie was proud to be referred to as a Hillbilly. It was a reflection of the way she was brought up and taught about the old times of life and survival. Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother Roy, Brother Mark and Sister Marsha (twins), mother Marie and father Basil, her daughter Sophronia, and husband Mike. Bonnie and Mike were married for 46 years.
