Billie Jean Alonzo age 78 of Osawatomie, KS died January 23, 2017 at Miami County Medical Center.

Billie was born December 5, 1938 in Tyler, TX. She was the second of three children born to Daniel Edgar & Elsie Ethel (Chamberlain) Boyer. She grew up in Hutchison, Kansas, where she attended school. After high school, Billie met Richard Alonzo and they married March 5, 1966. Richard and Billie moved to Osawatomie, Kansas. Together the couple has four children, Verenia, Connie, Richard Jr. and Derek.

She was a stay at home mom and a house wife her whole life. She was an avid member of the Friendship Faith Ministries church.  Billie loved going to church and worshiping. She walked everywhere. She walked to the store because she loved to shop for anything. Billie took care of her grandchildren when they were younger and would take them to the library.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and son-in-law Brian Nash.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years Richard of the home. Children Verenia Nash of Paola, KS, Connie Schwegler of Overland Park, KS, Richard Alonzo Jr. of Gardner, KS and Derek Alonzo of Osawatomie, KS. Four grandchildren Chanel, Megan, Richard III and Camry and one great grandson Ryker. Along with other family and friends.
