Andrew Joseph Hoaglan age 22 of Kansas City, Missouri died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home surrounded by family, after a valiant fight against cancer.

Andrew was born October 15, 1998 in Kansas City, Missouri. The youngest of three boys, of Timothy Marvin and Paula Michele (Wade) Hoaglan, he attended Raytown South High School graduating with the class of 2017. Andrew played football, baseball, and was in the Jazz Band where he played the bass guitar. His favorite baseball team he played for was the Bombers, he loved pitching and playing first base, in a pinch he would fill in as catcher too. Andrew remained close friends with many of his teammates over the years.

After high school, Andrew attended Longview Community College for a semester, and worked as a stocker at Hen House and then Price Chopper, until he was diagnosed with cancer. As Andrew liked to say, he was retired!

Andrew enjoyed riding motorcycles, fixing and tinkering with cars, and working on anything with a motor. He loved to drive fast! Andrew was quick witted with a strong sense of humor, he was always cracking jokes to make his family and friends laugh. He also enjoyed many adventures such as sky diving, driving his dune buggy, and driving a Nascar around the Kansas City speedway (faster than his brother did). Andrew liked to play the drums and the guitar, rocking out to entertain his family. He also enjoyed golf and going fishing. Andrew was a member of DeMolay attending with his brother for a few years.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carol Hoaglan and Marvin Hoaglan.

Andrew is survived by his parents Tim and Paula Hoaglan, brothers Ryan (Niki) Hoaglan of Clearlake, SD, and Matthew (Mandy) Hoaglan of Kansas City, MO, maternal grandparents Edward Wade and Peggy West, great aunt Carol, nephew and niece Wyatt and Jocelyn Hoaglan, another niece on the way, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family, and friends.
