Anthony Joseph “Tony” “Chick” Medina age 57 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday February 23, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri

Tony was born October 31, 1960 in Paola, KS. He was the second of three children born to Joe Jesse and Minnie Nadine (DelaCruz) Medina. He grew up in Osawatomie where he attended school and graduated with the Osawatomie Class of 1978.

After high school, he went to work. He worked for the Osawatomie State Hospital in the Safety & Security Department and then Marley as a metal fabricator. Then he started his career as a Maintenance Mechanic at Olathe Medical Center where he continued for over 20 years.

Tony loved music, especially rock n’ roll. He was a collector of guns and liked to go shooting. He had an interest in cars and trucks. In his free time, he loved going to car and truck shows. Tony shot pool and collected movies. Tony watched cooking shows and then would try out the recipes. He was a member of the St. Philip Neri Church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother Minnie Medina of the home, brother Mike (Coleen) Medina of Osawatomie, KS, sister Patty Berry of Olathe, KS, Nieces and nephews Kelccey (Dylan) Manchester, Kody Medina, James (Carol) Berry, Michael Berry and Tricia Berry and great niece Zoey Manchester and many other great nieces and nephews. Along with other family and friends.
