Ava Tyan Fanning.... Age 67

Ava Tyan Fanning age 67 died Friday January 8, 2021 at North Point in Paola.

Tyan was born November 20, 1953 in Colony, KS. She was born to Alvin ”Tex” Clayton and Ruth Hazel (Ray) Dilliner. She grew up in Linn County where she attended the Prairie View School District.

After high school, Tyan went into the workforce. She worked in various lines of workover the years. She started as a waitress in Osawatomie and Paola. Then Tyan went to Cosmetology School and after graduation she worked in Paola. Tyan then went into the healthcare field. She worked as a Home health aide in Stanley, KS. She then started working in a nursing facility in Missouri before retiring.

On September 4, 1977, Tyan and Tommie Lee Fanning were united in marriage in Osawatomie, KS. Together the couple had one son Thomas Clayton Fanning.

In her free time, Tyan enjoyed reading and travelling. Her favorite activity was watching her grandchildren in all of their activities. She was a member of the Victory Temple Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tommie Fanning, her parents, two sisters Katherine Lee Adams and Wanda Wadsworth.

Survivors include son Thomas Fanning and daughter-in-law Dana Weber of Osawatomie, KS, brother Randall Dilliner and wife Marla of Paola, KS, four grandchildren Thomas, Hannah, Wesley and Qwintin, niece and nephew Randi Jo Dilliner and Josh Dilliner. Along with other family and friends.

Tyan will be cremated. No formal services are planned.
