Brian Patrick Spini age 55 of Lane, KS died Wednesday March 30, 2022 at his home.
Brian was born January 10, 1967 in Manhattan, KS. He was the youngest of three born to William Joseph and Dolores Rose (Blancarte) Spini. He grew up in Johnson County where he attended Bishop Miege High School and graduated with the class of 1985.
After high school, Brian went to work as a firefighter. He attended Johnson County Community College and graduated with an Associates in Fire Science. Brian then went to work for Consolidated Fire District 2 in Johnson County for 32 years.
On October 11, 1991, Brian and Kimberly Jo Herl were united in marriage. Brian gained a daughter Tara and then together the couple had two sons; Jacob and Epi. They made their home in Lane, KS.
In his spare time, Brian enjoyed music, hunting, fishing and trapping. He raised hunting Beagles and was the President of the Eastern Kansas Beagle Club. Brian was active in the Fiddlers and Pickers. He was a 4 th Degree Knight of Columbus and was a volunteer fire fighter on the Pottawatomie Township Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by father William Spini.
Survivors include his wife 30 years, Kim of the home, children, Jacob (Ana) Spini of Overland Park, KS, Epi Spini of Lane, KS and Tara Herl of Garnett, KS and granddaughter Eliana Herl. Mother Dolores Spini of Roeland Park, KS, Brother Mark (Kendra) Spini of Mission, KS and sister Rina (Doug) Trowbridge of Kansas City, KS. Along with other family and many friends.
