Cass William Ernest Douglass II age 48 of Fontana, KS died Tuesday August 22, 2023.
Cass was born August 15, 1975 in Englewood, CO. He was the second of three children born to Cass William Ernest I and Deborah (Livingston) Douglass. Cass attended school at Anadarko, Oklahoma where he graduated with the class of 1993.
After high school, Cass enlisted in the United States Marines. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and served overseas. Cass was medically discharged in 1998.
On October 14, 2017, Cass and Kristen Pace were united in marriage in Miami County. They made their home in Paola, Kansas.
In his free time, Cass was an avid fisherman and hunter. He caught catfish, crappie, bass and hunted deer. Cass enjoyed country cruising, being outdoors and loved raising his children in the country. Cass never walked into a room quietly and was always the life of the party. He barbequed and was famous for his ribs and beef jerky. Cass loved the Denver Broncos, his country and took pride in his land. He was attending church at Living Proof in Paola. He was a member of the BBQ Beer Bosses group.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Ella Douglass.
Survivors include his wife Kristen Douglass of the home, children; Aubrey, Taylor, Isabella, Allie, Austin and Ava. Parents Cass & Deborah Douglass, siblings; Amber Douglass and Cole (Brooke) Douglass. Nieces & Nephews; Lauren and Cooper McKoon, Izabella and Alivia Douglass, Keaton and Maddox Matlick, Charley and Wyatt Brandt and Bailey and Macey Pace, Brooklynn and Adalynn Savage and Dante` Clinton. Along with other family and many friends.
