Charles “Chuck” Warren Ringey age 69 of Parker, KS passed Saturday July 14, 2018 in his home after a 10 year battle with Cancer.
Chuck was born November 14, 1948 in Paola, KS. He was the second of three children born to Charles Wildar and Annabell Mae Ringey. In 1966 he graduated from West High School in Torrance, CA. After high school, Chuck enlisted into the United States Army, served in the Vietnam War, was a recipient of the Purple Heart and was a decorated war veteran.
After Chuck was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969, he lived life the way he wanted. He went to Airframe and Power plant school in California, then started working for The Northrop Corporation building airplanes. Chuck soon decided to go back to school where he earned his degree in Computer Science. Years later, Chuck became an auto mechanic. He made this his career until he retired in 2012.
On April 17, 1982, Chuck and his wife Donna were married in Las Vegas, NV. They made their home in Long Beach, CA where they lived for over 30 years. Together the couple had two sons, Charles Wayne and Daniel Warren. Chuck also gained three children Angela, Amber and John. After retirement, Chuck and Donna moved to Parker, KS where they have lived for 6 years.
Chuck was very involved with anything that his family did. He was a Dad to all of his son’s friends and loved by so many. Chuck enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his best buddy and brother-in-law Cliff Howard. He loved his Green Bay Packers, watching Westerns and War movies. Chuck was a proud family man. His favorite times were spent with his family. He was also a member of the American Legion and VFW of Paola.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Evelyn Kimes.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years Donna of the home, sons Charles Wayne of Parker, KS and Daniel Warren (Chelsey Loya) Ringey of Long Beach, CA. Step Children Angela (Joe Williams) Bustamante of Nevada, John (Gina) Bustamante of California and Amber Bustamante of California. Sister Alice (Cliff) Howard, Brother in laws Jay Kimes of Parker, KS and Roger (Sandy) Fidero of California. Nine grandchildren Angel, Chad, Jade, Jacob, Giovanni, Giahnna, Jesse, Daniel and Zach. Nephews and Nieces, Clifford (Amy) Howard, Eric (Stacy) Kimes, Andrea Kimes, Treasa (Jeff) Weidauer and Nathan (Janna) Howard. Along was many great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
