Charles Anthony “Charlie” Diehm age 58 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday November 9, 2018 at the family home.

Charlie was born November 19, 1959 in Paola, KS. He was the only child born to Clifford Charles and Dorothy Lorretta (Phelps) Diehm. Charlie grew up in Osawatomie where he went to school. Before Charlie could graduate he decided to head into the work force.

He started out as a detailer for a local Chevrolet dealership. He worked his way up to a service writer. Charlie worked as a service writer for various dealerships over the years. In his later years he drove a semi-truck. Until 2006, when Charlie decided to retire.

In February of 1979, Charlie married Alice Gay. Together they had three children, Michael, Bridget and Zachary. The marriage later ended in divorce.

In his spare time, Charlie was always tinkering with mechanical stuff. Over the years he fixed up a few trucks. He took great pride in his vehicles and wanted to make sure they were well maintained. On Sunday, Charlie would go out and make sure that all of his vehicles were washed and the dust was wiped off of them.

Charlie is preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his children, Michael Diehm of Osawatomie, KS, Bridget McPherson of Emporia, VA and Zachary Diehm of Osawatomie, KS. His dad Clifford Diehm of Osawatomie, KS , Two grandchildren, Kadence Diehm and Dylan McPherson. His partner of 12 years, Mary Martin of the home. Along with other family and many friends.
