Charles Steven “Steve” Robinson age 66 of Rantoul, KS died Saturday January 25, 2020 at Miami County Medical Center.

Steve was born June 20, 1953 in Lamar, MO. He was the second of four children born to Charles Thurman & Catherine Frances (Rainey) Robinson. He grew up and attended school in Gardner, KS. Graduating with the Gardner Class of 1971.

After high school, Steve went to work for Safeway/Food Barn stores. He started as a night stocker and worked his way up to Assistant Manager. Steve worked for the company for 23 years until they went out of business. He then went to work as an over the road truck driver. Steve Worked for a few companies before starting his 19 year career with Convoy Systems based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

On October 6, 1972, Steve married Barbara Calvert in Olathe, Kansas. The couple made their home in lived in Olathe, KS. Until 1985, when they moved to Rantoul, Kansas. Together they had two children Tracy and Travis.

Steve enjoyed reading and watching Hallmark Movies. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Even though he drove a truck for a living he always volunteered to chauffer his family wherever they wanted to go. He was a member of the Rantoul Presbyterian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Barbara of the home, son Travis (Melissa) Robinson of Lawrence, KS, daughter Tracy (Lupe Marta) Robinson of Osawatomie, KS, six grandchildren Tisha, Cindy and Jess Marta and Lila, Eloise and Violet Robinson and two great granddaughters Amaya Marta and Karina Oakley. Two brothers Jimmie Robinson of Galena, KS, Carl Robinson of Powell, MO and one sister Nancy Hubbell of Odenton, MD. Along with other family and many friends.
