Charlotte Ruth Giager age 96 of Paola, KS died June 18, 2018 at Miami County Medical Center.

Charlotte was born April 25, 1922 in Osawatomie, KS. She was the seventh of eight children born to Albert Henry and Maude (Kelley) Stanley. She attended Osawatomie High School.

After high school, Charlotte worked for a short time before meeting John W. Giager. They were united in marriage on April 4, 1943 in Kansas City, KS. Together the couple had two sons, Michael and Johnny.  The couple made their home in Osawatomie.

Charlotte was a homemaker and was a darn good one at that.  She loved gardening with John.  They also liked going fishing and camping. She was an avid seamstress. She sewed anything and everything.  Charlotte and John were members of the First Baptist Church of Paola.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years John W. Giager, her grandson John Christopher Giager, her parents, two brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her sons Michael (Linda) Giager of Paola, KS and Johnny Giager of Miami County. Three grandchildren Marisa (Darin) Henness, John Michael (Kelly) Giager and Jennifer Giager. Six great grandchildren Tyler and Alyssa Henness, Dylan, Dawson, Lauren and Lakin Giager. One Brother Les Stanley of Omaha, NE Along with other family and friends.
