Constance Lee “Connie” Keast age 87 of Osawatomie, KS died Monday February 7, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center.
Connie was born June 18, 1934. She was the only child born to Carl and Naomi (Mann) Thoms. She attended school in Osawatomie where she graduated with the class of 1952.
Connie and Earl “Sonny” Keast were united in marriage on August 17, 1953. Together they had three sons Kent Nelson, Kirk Nolen, and Guy Lynn. Kirk passed away June 17, 2007 and Guy on August 25, 2009.
For most of her life, Connie was a homemaker. She worked for a shoe store in Paola for a short time. She also sold Avon for many years. Sonny and Connie loved going out to eat, and their favorite place was Chen’s Chinese in Paola.
After 27 years of marriage Connie was able to get Sonny onto the dance floor, teaching him the dance moves she knew and it wasn’t long before he was teaching her! Sonny loved to fast dance and Connie couldn’t keep him off the dance floor. They also enjoyed going to school programs for their grandkids over the years. Connie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and shopping. She shopped a lot on QVC and collected clothing and shoes. She and Sonny were always dressed to the “nines” wherever they went. Connie was an avid KU fan and never missed a gameShe was known for her fancy nails. Connie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Sonny, her parents, and two sons Guy and Kirk.
Connie is survived by her son Kent and his wife Tammy, grandchildren Nicholett (Ric) Benavides, Kirk Keast , Carl Keast, Tyler (Jessi) Keast and Tabitha (BJ) Rues and 7 great grandchildren. This beloved woman shall be dearly missed by all her family and friends
