Dale L. Castleberry 89 of Garnett, KS entered into eternal rest April 30, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital. Dale was the second child of Alva H. and Mildred (DeMott) Castleberry on March 15, 1933. He grew up in Osawatomie, KS and attended school there.
Dale served in the Army.
On July of 1955, he married Dorothy Demmit. They had six children. That marriage ended. On August 21, of 1967, he married Olive Reed together they raised four children that marriage ended. On August 21, 1993 he married Dorothy Hickman and was together until her death on January 9, 2017.
In the 1960 he worked with Harold Brady in the oil fields. Then went to work for Beam's in Osawatomie. Then went to Taylor Forge for a short time. He worked for Carrol Ball unit his retirement.
He enjoyed his family, his dog, but enjoyed going fishing with his son and grandson.
He was proceeded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother Clifford Castleberry, and sister Dorothy Demmitt, a daughter Geraldine Louise, his step-son Ronnie Hargess a grandson James Timmons.
He is survived by his children Sandra (Leroy) Soverns of Fontana, KS, Dale (Cheryl) Sullins, TX, Derrell (Diana) Rhodes of Baldwin City, KS, La Nora Kaye (John) Summers, Rogers, AR, Lonnie Sullins of Texas, Edward (Gene) Earnest of Garnett, KS, Carolyn (Glen) Yoder of Welda, KS, Sharon Earnest of Osawatomie, KS, Jeffrey (Peggy) Castleberry of Ottawa, KS. Two brothers Leslie Castleberry of Paola, KS and Kenneth Castleberry of Oklahoma, a sister Daisy Carpender of Nevada, MO. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friend Olive Reed.
