Debbie Shell Henson

Debbie Shell Henson age 50 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday August 18, 2023 at her home.

Debbie was born March 11, 1973 in Wichita, KS. She was the youngest born to Loren “Rocky” and Patty Jo (Randall) Henson. She grew up in Garden City, Kansas. Debbie graduated from Holcomb High School with the Class of 1991. She then went to Garden City Community and then to Fort Hays State University. Debbie earned her Bachelors in Education.

After school, Debbie started her career as a dispatcher. She worked for Garden City, Miami County and the City of Osawatomie. She was a dispatcher over 30 years.

In her free time, Debbie enjoyed reading, being outside and spending time with daughter and granddaughter. She loved clowns and watching the Dallas Cowboys football. Debbie was a wonderful baker. She was known for her banana bread and apple pies. The most important thing to Debbie was her family and friends. She always knew how to make people feel better and make them laugh.
Debbie was preceded by her parents Loren “Rocky” Henson and Patty Jo & John Martin and sister Lorna Henson.

Survivor include her daughter Avree Andrews and granddaughter Braylee Ricks both of the home. Sisters Kim Converse, Connie McGee and Lisa Towns. Along with nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
