Delores Ann (Williams) Smith passed Thursday December 31, 2020 at Hospice of Olathe Medical Center.
Delores Ann “Dee” (Williams) Smith was born February 4 1952 in Osawatomie Kansas as the second born of Lawrence Wesley Williams Sr and Edwina Marie (Briggs) Cunningham.
She grew up in Osawatomie Kansas attended school in Osawatomie. She was always remembered for her amazing softball skills and the times she worked at Mandingo’s and her Love for the Kansas City Chiefs, KC Royals and KU basketball teams. Although she didn’t complete High School she earned her GED did completed college at Johnson county community college and KCK community college. She retired from Osawatomie State Hospital and retired from Rainbow Mental Health Facility. After retirement she decided to go back to work and drive a school bus in Olathe Kansas.
She was welcomed home by her Father Lawrence Wesley Williams Sr and her mother Edwina Marie (Briggs) Cunningham, Five sisters Vickie M (Williams) Shearon, Brenda J Williams, Gwendolyn D Williams, Pamela J (Williams) Winton and Ramona L (Williams) Robinson and her only brother Lawrence W Williams Jr.
She will be deeply missed by her 6 Children. Kimberly S (Williams) Walker of Kansas City MO, Lester E Smith of Olathe KS, Leslie E (Smith) Anderson of Kansas City, Ks, Lance E Smith of Long Beach, Ca, Lisa A (Smith) Smith of Topeka, KS and Lori A Smith of Topeka, KS. Three sisters Marva D (Williams) Hopson of Spring Hill, KS, Sharon P (Williams) Hopson of Bonner springs, KS and April M Williams of Topeka, KS. 23 Grandchildren, 25 Great Grandchildren, many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews, friends that became family and many more friends.
