Donald Duane "Buddy" Poage Jr. age 48 of Lane, KS died Tuesday June 30, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.

Buddy was born September 12, 1971 in Trenton, NJ. He was the younger of two children born to Donald Duane Sr and Janice (Whiting) Poage. He grew up in Lane most of his life. Attending Central Heights.  Growing up   Buddy worked on the family farm raising milk cows and pigs

After school, Buddy started working construction. He was a heavy equipment operator for 20 years. He could run any piece of equipment available. Buddy worked for Cutting Edge Trucking Company out of Louisburg. He was a member of the Operators Union at one time.

In 2007, Buddy met Trish Efurd. They were together for 13 years and married on May 16 ^th , 2020. He enjoyed his grandchildren, riding his buggy and raising boxers. Buddy was the life of the party and was always ready for a cold Coors. He loved dancing, running mud trucks, giving everyone a hard time and getting mud on his tires. Buddy going to NHRA drag races He enjoyed traveling for work and just running the countryside meeting new people and they always became his friend. He was always ready and willing to help those he cared for.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Janice Poage, grandparents Lloyd & Ethel Poage and Harry & Ida Whiting.

Survivors include his wife Trish of the home, children Emilee Poage, Kaitlin (Cody) Adams, Shannon (Billy) Johnson, Monika Efurd and Nick Efurd, sister Tami Poage (Chris), grandchildren Tayleigh Johnson, Remmington Harris, Auvrie and Annsley Adams, Lilie, Hunter and Ella Johnson, Zoey Costigan, Niece Harlee Poage, his dog Tuff. Along with other family and many friends.
