Donald Lee Stephens age 70 of Paola, KS passed away Monday February 27, 2023 at his home.

Donald was born January 14, 1953 in Paola, KS. He was the eighth of nine children born to Mervin L and Viola M. (Hayen) Stephens. He attended school in Paola.

Donald worked in Paola, KS at Taylor Forge for 15 years from 1990-2005 as a sand blaster, he then worked at Lake Mary Center in Paola, KS from 2006-2012 as a behavior health technician in the Children’s dorm. Donald retired from Lake Mary center.

Donald was married to Alisha Loving in Paola, KS on March 30, 2019 at the American Legion. Donald and Alisha made their home in Paola, KS. The couple have three kids, Dileaca, Donneasha and Devin.

In his spare time, Donald enjoyed fishing, having coffee with his friends, car rides, playing cards and cook out’s with friends and family.  His favorite TV shows were WWE, Court, Price is Right and Jerry Springer. Donald also enjoyed going to Cross Point Church in Paola with his wife and kids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mervin Stephens Jr, Bobby Stephens, Floyd Stephens and Loyd Stephens. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors include his wife Alisha Stephens, children Dileaca Loving, Donneasha Loving-Stephens, and Devin Loving-Stephens all of the home, Ebony Loving, Michael L. Stephens, Ricky Stephens and Donald R. Stephens. Grandchildren; Zy’Neel McReynolds, O’Mari Hinton, Ebyon Loving, Ry’leigh Beaumaster, Blake Stephens, and Colby Stephens. Two great grandchildren; Shawn Stephens and Bryson Stephens. Sisters Edna Maine, Carolyn Hughes, Luella Hughes and Barbara Hutchinson. Along with many nieces and nephews.
