Earnest M. "Ernie" Bresee Age 77

Earnest Monroe Bresee age 77 of Fontana, KS died Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center.

Ernie was born December 8, 1944 in Kansas City, KS. He was the youngest of five born to Faye Alvin and Minnie Naomi (Cox) Bresee.

After high school, went to work with his father and then did some sandblasting. In 1978, Ernie worked at Jet-Flo a company in Lacygne and he worked there until they closed.  Then Ernie started his career as a cook. He worked what was formerly known as Red’s Café in Joplin, MO and Pine Crest Nursing Home in Paola.

On November 13, 1978, Ernie and Gloria Kitchell were united in marriage

Ernie raised his own cattle for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing and camping in Hallowell, Kansas. Ernie loved watching baseball on TV and his family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Carl Bresee and three sisters Catherine Bidwell, Rose Robinson and Lois Bresee.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gloria of the home, son Michael Bresee of Fontana, KS, sister in law GG Oshel and fiancé Ernie Houk and Aunt Jeannie Cox of Kansas City, KS. Along with other family and friends.

Memorials are to the funeral home to help with cost of service.
