Edward Alberty

Edward Jason Alberty, 48, went Home to Eternal Glory on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at Kindred Hospital in North Kansas City, Missouri.

He was born on January 11th, 1975 at Kansas University in Kansas City, Kansas to Edmond Leroy Alberty and Valorie Kay Brady Alberty.  Ed attended public schools in Paola, Kansas before moving to Osawatomie, Kansas with his family where he completed all his education in the Osawatomie Public School District.

Edward met a special friend, Latrish Hutcherson, and they were later blessed with a gift from that union, Edward Jason Alberty Jr.

Ed was preceded in death by both his parents, Edmond and Valorie Alberty, his only son, Edward Jason Alberty Jr, special friend, Latrish Hutcherson. Grandmothers, Ardella Smith and Elaine Brady Mounger, Grandfathers Frank Smith and Donald Brady.  Aunts Karen Mason, Evelyn Smith, Edna Preston and Alfreda  Whitaker , Great-Aunt Blanche Gibson, uncles Bernard "Austin" Alberty and Howard Michael Brady.  Also special cousins Chuck Smith and Inez Preston.

Edward was affectionately known as Lil Ed by family and friends. He was loved by many.  He truly loved ALL his family and was always around to encourage or motivate whoever was around him.  Ed developed a special bond with his nieces and nephews and took great pride in texting and calling them to check in on them. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age and would tell anybody how great God is! One thing he’d preach in life is for people to develop and build a relationship with God.

He spent his childhood days playing sports and being known as the class clown. Spending time with his loved ones was important to him. He loved to eat, and enjoyed playing Tonk or Spades with family and friends. Ed spent his adult years enjoying life with his loved ones while navigating through the ups and downs that life brings. He enjoyed spending time with his only son and his grandchildren.  He absolutely loved his grandchildren and doted on them whenever he got the chance.

Edward leaves to celebrate his life; brothers James Wardell Quary (Texas), Brian Michael Alberty (Kansas) and sister Brandee Nicole Alberty-Hamilton (Georgia), and daughter-in-law Angel Alberty (Kansas).  Four grandchildren; Kaleb Alberty, Millayah Alberty, Edward Jason Alberty III, and Evelyn Alberty. Also a host of cousins , aunts, uncles and friends.
