Eleanor Adeline Page age 92, of Lane, Kansas died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Anderson County Hospital Residential Living Center in Garnett, Kansas.
Eleanor was born on October 4, 1924 near Greeley, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur Ray and Carrie Elizabeth (Landess) Stevenson.
On April 10, 1947 she married Kenneth William “Bud” Page at the Methodist Church in Ottawa, KS. They became the parents of two daughters. Eleanor was a homemaker working alongside Kenneth, raising chickens, hogs, sheep, milk cows, beef cattle and crops. She sold eggs in addition to doing housework for Bill & Nancy Sanders.
Eleanor enjoyed her many years in the Lane Bingo Club. She loved to bake and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Eleanor also liked traveling to Branson, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud Page, who died December 29, 2012, daughter, Nancy Sue Kraus who died June 25, 1997; Brothers Wesley R. Stevenson and Thomas E. Stevenson, and Sisters Nina A. Stevenson and Vera E. Ware.
She is survived by one daughter Darlene Kay Hay and husband Joe of Lane, KS. Three grandchildren: Kenny Roberts and wife Tonya of Lane, KS, Sandy Shippy and husband Bryan of Lane, KS and Jimmy Hay and wife Christi of Paola, KS and seven great grandchildren: Tyler Roberts, Lindsay Shippy, Landen Hay, Brianna Shippy, Lily Hay, Lawson Hay and Lucy Hay. She is also survived by her niece Lois Ware of Topeka, KS.
“Granny” will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
