Emilee Jean Owens age 70 of Osawatomie, KS died Friday November 11, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center.

Emilee was born September 11, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the second of three children born to Emil Otto Dewey and Ethel Bell (Hardey) Seitter. She grew up in Kansas City and attended Washington High School.

After school, Emilee married and had two children, Cindy and William Jr. She stayed at home with her children until they were in school and then she went into the workforce. Emilee worked in the deli at a grocery store for a few years. She then became a delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts for many years.

In 1994, Emilee and Leroy Owens were united in marriage in Kansas City, KS. They made their home in Tonganoxie, Ozakie and then settled in Osawatomie.

In her free time, Emilee enjoyed reading and collecting shoes and purses. During the day you could find her watching her favorite soap operas. Her favorite thing was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, granddaughter Alissa Elliott and her parents.

Survivors include her children Cindy (Clayton) Sherlock of Osawatomie, KS and William Dougherty Jr. of Kansas City, MO, brothers Donald (Virginia) Seitter of Lake of the Ozark and Daniel (Connie) Seitter of Tonganoxie, KS. Granddaughters Roni Nicole Elliott and Kayla Elliott both of Paola, KS and two great grandsons Michael Braim and Maverick Elliott. Along with other family and friends.
