Emma Grace Koehn age 90 of Paola, KS formally of Apache, OK died Thursday December 13, 2018 at her home.

Emma was born September 4, 1928 in Carolton, MO. She was the fourth of five children born to Jacob L. Sr. and Helen Gertrude (Major) Lewis. She grew up in Kansas City, KS.

Emma was a devoted wife and mother. She traveled the world with her Husband Paul while he was in the army. They moved to a different place every two to three years. She had three children Carol, Cass and Raymond. After Paul retired from the military, the family lived in Colorado for 20 years and then moved to Apache, OK until recently moving to Paola with family.

In her spare time, Emma was an outstanding poet and wrote many poems over the years. She was a collector of dolls and crystal. Emma enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Emma was proceeded in death by her daughter Carol Suzanne Hendricks and son-in-law Dennis Hendricks, son Raymond E. Koehn, parents, Brothers Jacob Lester Lewis Jr. and Major Lewis, Sisters Betty Tarlton and Virginia Joyce and two grandchildren Ella Jo and Jacob.

Survivors include husband of 64 years Paul Koehn of the home, son Cass W.E. Douglass and daughter in law Deborah J. Douglass both of the home, five grandchildren Amber R. Douglass, Cass (Kristen) W.E. Douglass II, Cole (Brooke) J.P. Douglass, Travis Koehn and Helen Beth (Nickolas) Dittrich, numerous great grandchildren. Along with nieces and a nephew.
