Fenevia May Lyons

February 10, 1952 — December 12, 2024

On Thursday evening December 12th 2024 Fenevia May Lyons was called to sing the praise of our Lord Jesus Christ in heavens choir. Fenevia "Neva" passed away in Paola Kansas not far from her family farm in Beagle. Born in 1952 Neva was the daughter of Melvin and Josephine Lyons. She was proudly from the first graduating class of Prairie View , between Beagle and Lacyne in 1970. She started her education in Parker.
A few men had tried to tame Fenevia unsuccessfully but her love for DR was well known as she often told pleasant stories of their time together.
Neva was always driven to help others in her long career as a nurses assistant, mental health tech at Osawatamie State hospital.  She was a care giver at Life Care and North Point. These  jobs show her huge heart and caring soul . Even in her last breaths she said not to worry to those with her and she called to Jesus. Fenevia's love of prayer and Jesus was clear to all that met her. She has been a member of Cross Point Church in Paola raising her hands and praising every opportunity she had.
Fenevia was preceeded in death by her parents, sister Rhelda May, brother Johnnie Mac, brother Marion, brother Theodore "Teddy" Isaac, sister Mary Alice, brother Melvin D, brother Phillip Henry, brother Virgil Ross, brother Milo Eugene, sister Stella Lucille.
She is survived by sister Irene Croan and her brother Frank Lyons and their families.
Her Nieces Paula and Brenda, and their families.
Although Fenevia never had children of her own she was a mother and grandmother to many throughout her life.
Neva has lived up on John Brown Lookout Hill for close to 5 years with Rebekah Stone who had been her caregiver and confidante with so much help from her mother Paula. She lived with Boyd and Alliyah to whom she had been a grandmother, aunt and overall spoiler of since birth. She has been a prayer warrior and spiritual leader of the Stone family, as well as anyone who crossed her path. She will be missed by all that have known her.
Services will be at Cross Point Assembly of God. 1016 N Pearl in Paola Kansas at 10 am December 19th. Visitation from 9 to 10 with internment following the funeral at Mound Creek cemetery next to her family farm in Beagle Kansas.
