Flora "Kathy" Kathryn Morgan

Katherine “Kathy” Morgan of Drexel, Mo passed away on Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at the Louisburg Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Louisburg, Kansas.

Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 11am to 12pm at the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie, Kansas. There will be a short inurnment following the memorial at Whiteford Cemetery in Paola, Kansas.

Kathy was born, June 4th, 1951, in Lebanon, Missouri to Delia (Presley) Henritz and Hobart Moore.  Kathy raised her two sons basically on her own and after the loss of her youngest son she raised her grandchildren.  She would not have changed a thing because she knew it was the right thing to do.  Kathy truly enjoyed planning family reunions every year at Pomme De Terre Lake.  She also liked making Christmas candy and canning when she was on the farm.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her son Glenn and sisters Joanne and Sandra and brother Marvin.  She is survived by her son Larry “Butch” Kirkland, Brother Stan Moore (Reva) of Adrian, Missouri, and sister Patricia Irvin of Drexel Missouri.  Grandchildren Zachariah Kirkland (Jacque), Hope Kirkland, Derek Kirkland and Rachel Kirkland all of Osawatomie and Joseph Van Vlack of Shawnee, Kansas and two great-grandchildren, Marlo Kirkland and Braydon Van Vlack.
