Gary Dean Pearce

Gary Dean Pearce age 57 died Wednesday March 6, 2024 in Osawatomie, KS.

Gary was born July 16, 1966 in Paola, KS. He was one of four born to Frank Leonard and Mary Jane (Pearce) Dillard. He grew up and attended school in Paola.

After high school, Gary went into the workforce. He remodeled houses, painted and did carpentry. Gary worked for Taylor Forge in Paola for a while as a welder. He worked various jobs until becoming disabled.

Together, Gary and Jackie Burton had one son, Alexander Dean Pearce. They lived together for a number of years.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and playing cards and dominoes. He was a good cook but could tear up a kitchen while cooking. Gary never met a stranger, was always cracking jokes and was a very likeable person. He was a member of the First Mount Olivet Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sisters Patricia Pearce of Osawatomie, KS, Brenda Dillard of Olathe, KS and Brenda Stewart of Kansas City, MO, his son Alexander Pearce of Springfield, MO, daughter Lauren Hassell, his common law wife Jackie Burton of Springfield, MO and grandchild Tethan Breiner. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
