Gerry Lester Rogers age 73 of Osawatomie, KS passed away Friday November 15, 2019 at Menorah Medical Center.

Gerry was born December 23, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. He was the third of four children born to Lester C. and Virginia Ann (Pattison) Rogers. He grew up in Kansas City, KS. Graduating with the Washington High School class of 1963.

After high school, Gerry worked for a short time at Gustin-Bacon aka Owens Corning. Then went to work for United Parcel Service. He started as a deliverer then became a truck driver. Gerry worked for UPS for 35 years until retiring in 2006.

On October 15, 1966, Gerry married Sandra White in Kansas City, KS. They made their home in Kansas City until 1997 when they moved to Osawatomie. Together the couple had three children Pamela, Scott and Todd.

Gerry loved to golf. He enjoyed racing of any kind. He liked NASCAR, dirt track and motor cross. Gerry enjoyed working in his yard, planting flowers and reading. He also liked camping. After retirement, Gerry loved going to the casinos. Gerry’s favorite thing was spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Richard Rogers and Donald Rogers.

Survivors include wife of 53 years, Sandra of the home, children Pamela (Dewayne) Daniels, Scott Rogers and Todd Rogers all of Osawatomie, KS. Brother Warren (Sheralyn) Rogers of Basehor, KS. Seven grandchildren Tyler (Natalia), Luke (Shelby Hazlett) and Ryan Daniels, Aaron, Alaina and Austin and Trevor Rogers. Along with other family, friends and his golfing buddies.
